As a family dental office, we find it extremely important to specialize in almost every form of dentistry so our patients can receive comprehensive, convenient care. Offering Invisalign at our office has eliminated the need for our patients to outsource to an orthodontist to achieve a straight smile. Treatment

Traditionally, metal braces are suggested to patients who want a straighter smile. Although traditional braces are still used today and are very effective, they generally have a long treatment time and can be uncomfortable. Invisalign works almost the same way as traditional braces but gives just as beautiful results.

Instead of metal brackets and wires, Invisalign uses custom-made clear aligners, much like retainers, to straighten your smile. On average, a patient participating in Invisalign can expect their treatment to last from 10-14 months depending on the misalignment of the smile.

At your first appointment with us, we will take photos, X-rays, and impressions of your smile to help determine the exact treatment plan and create your clear aligners.

Aligners

At the start of your treatment, you will be given your first set of aligners that are to be worn for about 2 weeks. During the time you are wearing the aligners, your teeth will be moving into the correct position. Every 2 weeks you will be given a new set of aligners that are slightly different from your last set. The difference in aligners will continue to move your teeth into alignment.

For optimal results, you must wear the clear aligners for at least 22 hours out of the day. One major difference between traditional braces and Invisalign is that the straightening device can be removed to eat and brush your teeth. This promotes oral health during treatment and does not limit what you can eat.
